Breakfast - Started out the day motivated and healthy. Scrambled eggs in ghee with orange bell pepper, ground turkey and hot Italian sausage. Raspberries and ice water.

Then lunch hit. We had done all this prep to go camping and even loaded the car, and 15 minutes before leaving, our family cancelled. Understandable because the campsite was projected rain. So disappointment hit at the same time as the hunger and sugar cravings. I couldn't be too upset or surprised because we'd debated the rain issue ourselves. Camping in the rain is one thing. Camping in the rain with 3 kids is another.

So back to work it was; sugar cravings and all. Lunch was 2 apples and a banana with almond butter. Perhaps not ideal per the book It Starts With Food: Discover the Whole30 and Change Your Life in Unexpected Ways, but it was filling, full of fiber, and exactly what I needed at that moment.

Dinner was at a friends house. We brought the beef kabobs made for the camping trip, and they made a chicken dish that was phenomenal! I'll post both recipes soon.

Feelings? A little tired and sluggish but not bad. Still fighting allergies. Definitely have a mild craving for sugar and a strong desire to satiate emotions with food.

The Whole30 Timeline refers to Days 4 and 5 ask the "Kill all the things" days. Today is day 5 and i'm just beginning to feel it. I love that it says:
"Beg your spouse, children, parents, co-workers, for patience and forgiveness – as nicely as you can (and no, “shut up and leave me alone!” does not count as nice)."
because that's exactly how I was beginning to feel!

All in all I'm proud of myself for making this far and still feeling the urge to go longer. And hey... I'm still blogging about it too!! YAY me!
