Whole30; Day Whatever

Some days are compliant, some are not. But i keep on trying. Planning and adequately preparing have definitely been my weaknesses. Like last Monday, after being on vacation for almost 2 weeks and returning to a house full of guests and a mother-in-law who like's to cook and pick up decadent takeout foods full of breads and pastas. Excuses and challenges.

"They" say whole30 isn't difficult. Have they weighed 300+/- pounds? Have they spent the past 6 or so years feeding emotions with sweet treats and living in a fog? I'd like to read a success story that shares the beginning struggles, and not just a "voila! That was easy" story.

We grocery shopped last night at Trader Joes and Sprouts and i woke up this morning excited for a clean eating day. Tim cooked breakfast: Eggs, sausage, bell peppers, and coffee coconut cream. After eating i mentioned that the sausage was really good for chicken, and Tim says "oh that was leftover kielbasa, but don't worry, I'm sure it had less than 2% msg and nitrates." # headdesk.

Updates...
Lunch was plantain chips and a smoothie made with coconut water and 'leftover' fruits: banana, kiwi, watermelon,  oranges, and cherries.

We made Popsicles with the smoothie juice too. And sausages for weekly breakfasts.
Dinner was panseared Mahi Mahi in ghee, salad and corn cobs for the kiddo.
